An Argo is like a mini tank, it can run on tracks or wheels and gets us through the toughest muskeg. Shout out to @whitecourtallterrain, an official Argo dealer and provider of our @argo_xtv rentals.

PS. Always ride safe, never forget a good helmet and eye protection!

We love seeing all the fun travel photos of staff's adventures, here's a small snapshot 📸

We believe that effective communication is integra We believe that effective communication is integral to our collective accountability in making Circle great. Last month, we sent 11 members of our team to "Coaching for Commitment" and then, at Spring Kickoff, we all attended a "Strength Deployment Inventory Session" hosted by @einblauassociates. We work hard to raise each team member, and coaching is an integral part of creating a cohesive environment. If one succeeds, we all succeed 💪🏽.

Today is Red Dress Day, or National Day of Awarene Today is Red Dress Day, or National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Sprit People. This day honours and brings awareness to the thousands of Indigenous women, girls, and two-sprit people who have been subject to dispropotionate violence in Canada. Indigenous women are 12 times more likely to be murdered or go missing in Canada. This is a crisis in our country and has been recognized as such by a National Inquiry. Today take time to reflect on the lives and stories of mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts and friends who are gone @mmiwhoismissing . #nomorestolensisters #MMIWG2S+ #mmiwawareness #mmiwcanada #awareness

Last month, seven staff members got or renewed their chainsaw safety certification👷 Safety is a huge concern when we are training and in the field! This is the type of PPE (personal protective equipment) we use in the field: steel toed boots, hand protection, high vis gear, eye/face protection, ear coverage, and a hard hat! Whew, I think we have it covered!

Here they learned tactics to identify, control, manage, and supress wildfires. Wildfires can be a major hazard of working in the forest during the dry summer months. Now some of our field leaders better understand how wildfires behave and how to keep their crews safe.

Tomorrow, April 12, @_alexandraburchill_ is hostin Tomorrow, April 12, @_alexandraburchill_ is hosting Wisdom Wednesday to take a multidiciplinary look at dogs and their uses through time. If you've ever been interested in the canine archaeological record, you'll want to tune it! Read the full synposis below, and make sure to click the link in our bio to join the Zoom at noon PST with the password 384366.

The presence of dogs in the archaeological and historical record has been well known, yet largely disregarded. Not much is known about prehistoric dogs and their domestication. More often than not, canid remains recovered in an archaeological context are classed as a hybrid breed and the precise identification of either a wolf, dog, and/or coyote was clouded in uncertainty. Today, a technique called geometric morphometrics is allowing for better identification of domesticated dog remains in the archaeological record. In addition, multidisciplinary approaches that combine oral and historical records with archaeology has identified multiple uses of dogs throughout time. These uses include travel, companionship, livestock and community guardians, warfare and hunting, and lastly as sustenance during lean times. In this talk we will look at these uses in greater detail.
Happy Easter! Spring is in the air and we can feel Happy Easter! Spring is in the air and we can feel it 🌷🌼 Around this time us archaeologists begin to emerge from our winter projects and get ready for the busy season ahead. Stay tuned to see how Circle prepares the team for the field season!
