Kristine Hubenig

Kristine is a GIS Specialist and field archaeologist, having started at Circle in 2024. She holds a BA in Archaeology with a minor in Archaeology and Geography from the University of Calgary, where she first discovered her interest in GIS and decided to pursue it further. She later earned her Bachelor of Geographic Information Systems (BGIS) from SAIT to follow that passion and elevate her skills. Kristine has worked on excavations in Belize and Alberta. When she’s not in the field or behind a computer screen, you’ll usually find her out on the water – swimming, paddleboarding, or wake surfing in the summer. And in winter, Kristine is usually curled up with a good book and a cup of tea. She also loves playing basketball and volleyball, and never misses a chance to suit up for comic cons across Canada to show off her latest cosplay.
